Join us on Friday, March 7, at the Saint Louis Art Museum as we peruse the galleries of art to compare and contrast different works. Our starting point will be to view a temporary video installation called “Evolution (Megaplex)” by artist Marco Brambilla. From there we will compare the video to cherished works in the museum that have “stood the test of time” to determine the success of the video and its relevancy to art history. For example, we will look at how artists of different eras viewed the human condition and how that is reflected in the artist’s perceived role in society. We will meet at 7pm in the main foyer (look for Midrash sign). Our discussion will be held while walking and standing so please come prepared.
