Midrash is a Hebrew word that roughly means "commentary". The goal of Midrash, the organization, is “commentary on culture.” We engage various aspects of our culture - music, theatre, arts, film, etc. – and seek to give andreceive commentary on the subjects and issues that matter to people in our city, and that form and shape our views and lives.
The drawing shown below is just one example of the kind of inspiration that Midrash events like Theology at the Bottleworks can give a person. At June's TATB, an individual with only a comment card and a black ballpoint pen produced this lovely sketch. We found it lying on a table afterwards and couldn't help but put it up on the web.
